What is Talkbooks?

Talkbooks is a conversational business management app. Instead of filling out forms, you simply tell the AI what happened -- "sold 5 iPhones on Shopee at 85k each" -- and it records everything for you. It manages your expenses, income, inventory, orders, payables, and receivables through natural language.

How do I get started?

Download the app, create an account with your email, verify your email with the code we send you, and start talking to the AI assistant. Two default entities are created for you automatically: "Me" for personal finances and "Business" for your business transactions.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in Singapore with enterprise-grade security. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

What are the subscription tiers?

Free ($0): 2 entities, 30-day history, no inventory or order features. Pro ($9.99/month or $89.99/year): Unlimited entities, full history, inventory and orders, up to 2 team members per entity. Team ($24.99/month or $199.99/year): All Pro features plus unlimited team members per entity.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play > Payments & Subscriptions on Android) and cancel from there. Your data will not be deleted -- it remains readable on the Free tier.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

All your data stays safe and readable forever. On the Free tier, you will lose access to inventory management, order tracking, and transaction history older than 30 days. Upgrading again restores full access to everything.

Can I invite team members?

Yes. Pro subscribers can add up to 2 members per entity (including the owner). Team subscribers can add unlimited members. Members can be assigned roles: Manager (full access), Staff (can log sales and expenses, limited reports), or Viewer (read-only access).

Is the AI always accurate?

The AI assistant is designed to understand natural language accurately, but like all AI systems, it may occasionally misinterpret input. We recommend reviewing entries after they are created, especially for large transactions. You can always edit or delete any record.

What channels can I track for sales?

Talkbooks supports tracking sales across multiple channels including Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, Walk-in, Direct Message, Website, and more. Simply mention the channel when logging a sale -- "sold 3 units on Lazada" -- and it is tracked automatically.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data permanently, send an email to support@talkbooks.app from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request and confirm deletion. This action is irreversible.

Does Talkbooks collect my location or contacts?

No. Talkbooks does not collect location data, contact lists, photos, phone numbers, or any device identifiers beyond the push notification token (if you enable notifications). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is there a web version?

A web version is available for Pro and Team subscribers at app.talkbooks.app. Free tier users can access the web app after upgrading to a paid plan.

What notifications will I receive?

Talkbooks can send push notifications for overdue payables, overdue receivables, low stock alerts, and pending orders that need attention. You can enable or disable each notification type individually in the app settings. Notifications are only sent on mobile devices.
